These terms govern your use of steps.org, a habit and accountability tool operated by Pipedesk OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. By using steps.org you agree to them. See also our Privacy Policy.

What steps.org is

steps.org helps you weigh in regularly: step on the scale, prove it with a quick in-app photo, and reset a rolling 48-hour timer. A vision model confirms you're on the scale and reads the number so you can see your latest weight.

Not medical advice

steps.org is a habit and accountability tool. It helps you show up to the scale regularly — it is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or healthcare service, and nothing here is medical, nutritional, or psychological advice.

  • Talk to a professional. Decisions about your weight, diet, exercise, or mental health should be made with a qualified healthcare provider who knows your history. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified professional with any questions about a medical condition.
  • Weighing in can be sensitive. Frequent weigh-ins aren't right for everyone. If you have or are recovering from a disordered relationship with food, weight, or your body, please consult a professional before using steps.org, and stop if it's harmful.
  • In a crisis, get help now. steps.org cannot help in an emergency. If you're in distress or may be in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your country right away.

Billing and payments

  • steps.org costs $10/month, charged in advance. There is no free trial — the first month is charged at checkout, backed by the guarantee below.
  • On top of the subscription, each reminder text costs $0.50, billed in arrears and only when your timer runs low enough to send one. Weigh in early and you never trigger a text.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee: if steps.org isn't for you, we'll refund both your subscription and any text charges within 30 days, no questions asked.
  • Cancel anytime from the billing portal. Promotional codes may be available at checkout.

SMS terms

By subscribing, you agree to receive weigh-in reminder texts (each costs $0.50). If you add an accountability partner, they agree to receive a verification code and uninstall-protection alerts — sent only if you cancel or switch them out. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Acceptable use

Use steps.org for yourself, lawfully, and don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its verification. We may suspend accounts that do.

Limitation of liability

By using steps.org you acknowledge that you do so at your own discretion and risk, and that steps.org and its makers are not liable for any decisions you make based on the app. steps.org is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.
