The Programme
A price designed to fall. A programme designed to end.
steps.org is a 90-day programme, not a subscription — 3 monthly cycles, then it ends. Each day resolves exactly one of two ways: weigh in before your morning hour and the month's level drops a dollar; otherwise you get one reminder text and it rises one. There is no third outcome. Here's every number.
The number
Each cycle starts at the $5 floor and moves a dollar a day: down when you weigh in before your hour (never below $5), up when you don't (one reminder text, never above $30). When the cycle closes you're charged that level, and the next cycle resets to the floor.
3 cycles, then it's over. Never miss and you pay the floor every month — the bottom of $15–$90 over 3 months. Miss often and a month can climb to $30, never past it. Every dollar above the floor maps to one reminder text you could have avoided by weighing in before your hour.
How a day works
One hour. Two outcomes.
Every day of the programme resolves the same way, at the same moment. Here's the loop, morning to money.
- 01
Pick your morning hour
Choose an hour between 05:00–11:00, in your timezone. Your day resolves at that hour — every day, for 90 days.
- 02
Weigh in before it: a dollar down
Open the app, stand on the scale, snap the live photo. A vision model verifies it in the moment, then discards it — and the month's level drops a dollar, never below the $5 floor.
- 03
At or after it: one text, a dollar up
If your hour arrives without a verified weigh-in — running late counts the same as skipping — you get one reminder text and the level rises a dollar, never above $30. On the dot counts as after — before means before, and a later weigh-in that day won't undo it. The dollar is the cost of the nudge; weighing in before your hour is how you never pay it.
- 04
There is no in-between
Every day lands on one side of your hour or the other. No grace window, no 'on time' loophole, no judgement call to bargain with. A rule this simple can't be renegotiated at 6:55 — which is exactly why it works when motivation doesn't.
- 05
Month closes: charged, reset to the floor
At each cycle's close you're charged that month's level — wherever the daily dollars left it — and the next cycle starts back at $5. After 3 cycles the programme ends. Nothing renews.
Accountability partner
Someone in your corner — included
Name anyone as your accountability partner — it's part of the programme, at no extra charge. They confirm by text, they never see your weight — not ever — and they don't need an account or the app. Once added, a partner can be swapped for someone else (they're told) but never removed. That's deliberate: the commitment shouldn't have a quiet side exit.
Each week they get a short progress report — whether you showed up, never what the scale said. Beyond that, the only alert about how you're doing is the one that fires if you quit. Your weight stays yours; the commitment doesn't.
If you stop
Cancelling is a failed attempt — a refund is a clean exit
Cancelling is not neutral, and we won't pretend it is. Cancel and the attempt is marked failed: your partner gets the quit text, you're charged for the days you used, and that attempt can never be resumed. Starting again means a fresh 90 days from the floor.
The clean exit is the guarantee, and it's a person, not a button: email [email protected] within your first 30 days and we'll refund every dollar — no failure recorded, and your partner is never told.
No risk to try
30-day money-back guarantee
Day one is the hardest of the 90 — so it's the one we take the risk on. If steps.org isn't for you, email [email protected] within 30 days and we refund everything — handled personally, no questions. No fee, no failure on your record, no text to your partner. If you're still in after day 30, you're in because you chose to be — and the only thing you'll have spent is a few mornings on the scale, which was rather the idea.
