“Our walk isn't what it was.”
A year-round walkathon gives every month, wherever supporters live, with no single day or route to plan and nothing to staff.
“Plenty sign up; few actually fundraise.”
With a monthly gift, joining is giving. Every walker gets a mission each morning, and every day they walk, their gift goes through, with no fundraising page to build.
“We keep asking the same donors.”
A gift that only goes through when you walk is something people talk about. When a walker shares a good month, new people hear about your cause.
I've built fundraising products and advised nonprofits on keeping supporters close. The people closest to a cause often can't make it to a walk on the day, so Steps lets them walk from home, on their own time.

When someone joins, they write why your cause matters to them. If a day slips, that day's $1 doesn't go through, and their words come back the next morning. No guilt.
Patients, families and friends walk at their own pace, each mission set from their own days. Every day they walk is a gift to your research, and your leaderboard keeps them walking together.
Examples of walks a campaign could run. We design yours with you.
No. Steps works with registered health charities, research foundations and hospital foundations. It doesn't run personal fundraisers. If you support a health charity and think a year-round walkathon would work for them, tell us about them.
Each mission is set from that person's own last few days, and a missed day costs them nothing but that day's gift. Steps isn't a medical program and never gives health advice. Anyone with a health condition should check with their doctor before walking more.
A supporter sets up a monthly gift, like $30. For every day they hit their daily step goal, $1 goes to your cause. A missed day gives nothing, and they are charged once a month for the days they walked, up to their monthly gift. The more days they walk, the more your cause receives, up to their monthly gift.
That day's $1 doesn't go through, and nothing else breaks. The next morning Steps says so plainly, sends back one of the walker's own messages to self, word for word, and gives them a fresh mission. No guilt, and nobody on your team has to chase anyone.
Straight to your own Stripe account. Steps connects to it when we set up your campaign, and every gift is paid straight to you, so Steps never holds your money. Stripe sends each donor a receipt, and tax receipts stay with you, for the amount actually given.
You do. Your supporters are yours. Steps runs the campaign for you and never sells, rents or shares their details, and it never messages them for anyone else. You can download your supporter list any time, and a walker can ask to be deleted.
